Welcome To SJICPUC

St. Ignatius of Loyola founded the Society of Jesus(Jesuits) in 1540. Education of youth all over the world has been one of the mission objectives of the Jesuits with their motto "for the Greater Glory of God". To form men and women for others is their vision.

St Joseph's Indian High School was started in 1904 by the French Foreign Missionary Fathers and was later handed over to the Jesuits of Karnataka Province. The institution is managed by the Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society. St. Joseph's Indian High School is a hundred years old and has ventured into Pre-University college education of catholic students. However, since its inception, the institution has been imparting liberal education to students of all denominations without distinction of caste and creed.

The Motto: FAITH AND TOIL

St. Joseph's Indian High School and Composite Pre-University College is dedicated to the motto "FAITH AND TOIL". At Joseph's we commit ourselves to this spirit and ideals that have inspired several generations. The motto "Fide et Labore" in latin means "FAITH AND TOIL" - Faith amont other things gives man a commitment to God, to his fellowmen and to intellectual pursuits. Toil is a necessary prerequisite for any success.
